Dresden Trust: Opening of Anglo-German Rose Garden
[ 16 May 2011; 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. ] The British Dresden Trust presents a plantation of roses to the City of Dresden as a symbol of reconciliation and friendship. This Anglo-German Rose Garden will be inaugurated on Monday, 16th May, 2011, at 13:00 hrs by Dresden’s First Mayor Dirk Hilbert and the Dresden Trust’s Chairman, Dr. Alan Russell OBE. All Dresdeners and guests are invited to join the ceremony, which will also be attended by a representative of the British Embassy Berlin and a group of British travellers on a cultural journey around German cities organised by the Dresden Trust.

Die irischen SchriftstellerInnen Kilroy, McCloskey und Hamilton werden die Leser auf eine Reise voller Gefühle und Abenteuer mitnehmen.

You are also invited to bring along any books, articles or other material you would like to discuss. We are also open to any suggestions for a themed evening on a particular subject.

[ 7 May 2011 to 22 May 2011. ] The Societaetstheater Dresden presents a spectacular festival of contemporary Scottish theatre and (performing) arts. The 17 different events and performances include award-winning contemporary plays (many of which were winners at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival), dance theatre, documentary and short films, literature and music. The Festival also features a new interpretation of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, designed as an audiowalk through the Botanical Gardens.
