2012 is Dickens Year! The great Victorian writer was born on 7th February 1812. Reason enough for us to dedicate our first Open Meeting this year to him. Come and join us for an evening where we discuss the life and time of this author, whose work transcends his own era, language and culture.
Our casual Open Meetings will give you the opportunity to talk with others in English about UK & international current affairs, books you are reading, films you have seen, or any other topics or issues you have in mind. You are also invited to bring along any books, articles or other material you would like to discuss. We are also open to any suggestions for a themed evening on a particular subject.
